Presley's Furniture going out of business after 44 years
Family-owned and operated retailer begins total liquidation June 19
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (June 17, 2025) - After 44 years of serving Tuscaloosa and surrounding communities, family-owned Presley's Furniture will close its doors permanently following the final liquidation of all merchandise. The second-generation owners plan to retire.
Presley's Furniture has been providing premium furniture and excellent customer service to its patrons since 1981. Originally a wicker furniture store, Presley's Furniture evolved into a premiere destination for whole home furnishings through the hard work and dedication of the Presley family. Co-owners and brothers Scott and Todd Presley will now retire after working alongside their parents, Jim and Dotti, to build the company's exceptional reputation for nearly four decades.
"We're deeply grateful to everyone who has supported our family over the years," said Scott. "It has been an honor to help furnish so many homes and to carry on the legacy begun by our parents."

Presley's Furniture was originally known as The Wicker Palace when Jim and Dotti Presley opened its doors in 1981 on McFarland Blvd. A year later, their sons, Scott and Todd, joined the business, determined to help it grow and adapt to meet the needs of a changing market. By 2000, the family business was thriving, and with the opening of a new showroom adjacent to the original location they rebranded as Presley's Furniture. The new, larger store allowed Presley's to expand its product selection and offer a full range of home furnishings. Through the decades, the Presley family remained hands-on in every aspect of the business, earning a loyal customer base and a respected place in the Tuscaloosa retail community.
